STOCK SYNDROME

SUMMER STOCKED

LONG TIME NO SEE/WRITE

Hello out there.
It has been many months since I sat and BLOB-BLABBED.
Spent some weeks in May and June in California in Palm SPrings.
It was a wonderful and fun time. Had to shop for the house out there and got some great bargains.
Went to the Short Film Festival while there and that was terrific. Highly recommend it.
I performed in a staged reading of a muscial called LUCK written by Mark Waldrop and Brad Ross and directed by Calvin Remsberg. I had the joy of performing with Alix Corey and that was a joy and FUN!

Then I came back to NY for a short stint and then had to head to Maine for work.
I drove to Ogunquit Maine to perform at the Ogunquit Playhouse in their Regional Premier Production of SUNSET BLVD.
Stefanie Powers and I shared the drive up there and for 5 hours we had a fun trip and talked and laughed all the way.
I knew I liked her immediately!
As for SUNSET BLVD:
It was an extraordinary production and glowingly headed by the astounding performance of the multi talented Norma Desmond-Madame Stefanie Powers.
This woman was and is amazing. She sang the role with great power, feeling and range and acted it like a major pro.
Who knew the gorgeous GIRL FROM UNCLE and the sassy, smart and beautiful Jennifer Hart on HART TO HART could pull this caliber of performance from her person?
The 3 week run was sold out and the reviews were all ultra favorable and complimentary.
Who knows, there may be a tour and more people will see this terrific production and Stefanies finite performance.
BRAVO to the OPGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE and Brad Kenny and Robert Levinstein who run that wonderful prestigious theatre. And to the staff and crew who were terrific.
The friendly and hospitable residents of Ogunquit were welcoming and had the company to their homes for food and drink and memorable evenings.
Friends, colleagues and theatre folk from NY and beyond came up to see this wonderful show and it made the run such an event each night.
The stunningly talented Christine Ebersole and her husband Bill Moloney and their 3 children came up as well as the ultra terrific Baayork Lee.
So SUNSET had its Sunset August 14th and has left behind some wonderful memories.
The Rogers & Hammerstein organization came to see it as it is their property and were very pleased. So this was a a win-win for all concerned.
If this show tours and you see that it is coming to your town RUN to see it.

New York has been rainy and gloomy and sometimes too humid!
What's with this hideous weather??
However TRADER JOE's has opened on 21st and 6th Avenue. YEAH!!

Hope you all had a terrific summer!
